We are pleased to announce that the capacity of our Te Kuiti pilot plant will be increased with the nearing of completion of our continuous system. This will be the only truly continuous fully automated system and is the only one of its type in New Zealand - running 24 hrs per day, 7 days a week putting out a minimum of 200 litres of finished product every hour with variable production at 2 million litres per annum.

Biodiesel

Did you know...

Environ Fuels, like other manufacturers in New Zealand, has samples taken by the Ministry of Economic Development at random intervals.

These samples are then tested by Independent Petroleum Laboratories at Marsden point to ensure that specifications are within those set out in the NZFSR2008 regulation for B100.

This is done to make sure that the fuel sold is to a required standard that is suitable for sale. Should the test's fail, the manufacturing company can be suspended from the grants scheme and even fined.

Environ Fuels B100, under independant scrutiny by the EECA and URS, has found carbon emissions to be reduced by up to 87% over the life cycle of the fuel compared to that of dino (mineral) diesel and some 37% better than oil seed rape.

This continuous system is modular and easily scalable for future capacity increases to accommodate the volatile yet growing demand of NZ's biodiesel consumers.

In the mean time, the development of another refinery in Auckland is on hold to fully test the opportunities that our new system has to offer.
Our new system has incorporated new and innovative ideas and electronics and yet is simple to operate.

Our focus, as always, was to think outside the conventional square. It has long been recognised that Europe is at the cutting edge of Biodiesel systems, so with that in mind we went shopping to develop our own system using skill sets from there to enhance our operation.

Working with a Design engineer in Biodiesel systems from Holland, we have developed New Zealands only truely continous system.
